Oh Christmas Tree, Oh Christmas Tree

We spent Christmas at the Rancho Nogales with the Browns this year. I have fun memories of Christmas at the ranch as a kid with lots of family! Even though our group was much smaller this year, it's always nice to just be with family, and it was so fun to be out there for Christmas again!

We met Dallin and Ashley in Pima and rode down with them on Monday the 22nd.  We met the rest of the fam at the ranch that afternoon. The first item of business was the Christmas tree hunt Tuesday morning! We all bounced up the canyon on what used to be the road, until we couldn't bounce any farther. And then, after a quick little picnic lunch, the tree hunters set out on foot to find us a tree! Chandler and I opted to stay and guard the trucks with Grammy.

It felt like they were gone forever, and then we finally spotted them coming through the trees, with a HUGE tree in tow! It took Adam, Matt, and Dallin to haul it back to the trucks. They might have had to cut the only pine tree on the whole mountain, but this year's Christmas tree hunt was declared as success!!

When they finally got the trimmed down and into the house, it was still too big to stand up. Solution? Just bring the chainsaw into the living room and fix it! 

Chandler helped Grammy put the decorations on. 

And it began to look and feel a lot like Christmas!
