And then we were four!

SHE'S HERE! Introducing Ellise Fay. Made her entrance June 26th, 2015 at 7:05 am. Born at 39 weeks, weighing 8 lbs 7oz, and measuring 20 inches long, with a full head of dark dark hair! She's perfect!!

For journaling purposes, I suppose I better back up a bit and tell "the story." At my 37 week appointment, it was discovered that little miss had flipped head up, meaning she was now breech. That was not what I wanted to hear. The doctor said he'd check again the following Monday, and then we could make a plan from there. Monday came and I was sure he'd say "she flipped, everything's good!" but, no such luck. He recommended doing an ECV - External Cephalic Version - a fancy name for trying to flip the baby manually from the outside. We scheduled it for Tuesday morning. Because there are risks involved (stress to the baby, induction of labor, etc.) it has to be done at the hospital. Thankfully, everything went smoothly. They sent us home after flipping her successfully, but he said he wanted to go ahead and induce at 39 weeks (that Friday) to not run the risk of having her flip back.

We went in at midnight Thursday night, started the induction about 1:30 am and had our baby girl at 7! It didn't happen how we'd planned, but I couldn't be happier with how the entire experience turned out. We're so glad she's here safe and healthy!

Meeting big brother! He can't get enough of her!

We were discharged Saturday afternoon, and we're settling in. So far Ellise is an angel baby! Chandler loves to give her hugs, and is good to share his trucks with her. :) He's a super big brother already!
