New Wheels!

Our happy news this week is that we found a car! We are so glad to be car owners now, and not car renters anymore!

I love this! Yes, the primary language here is English...

Isn't it cute? It's a 2001 Kia Sportage, and it only has 93,000 miles on it! :) It's best feature... 4 tires that aren't bald! (That's a rare find around here) But, my favorite thing about it is that the steering wheel is on the left side! It was weird to get in and drive on the left side of the car, even after only driving on the ride side of the car for two months. Now maybe we won't look like complete retards when we get back to America. But there's no guarantees that I won't still need occasional reminders to get back on the right side of the road. :)

We quickly learned that there is no cheap way to buy a vehicle around here, especially if you want one that runs! Our hope is that this one will work well for the next 18 months, and then maybe, when we're ready to leave, we'll be able to sell it to another first year med student, who is desperate for a car, for the same price we bought it for and get our money back. Good plan? We think so. :)
