Semester Break... Island Style

We finished up the rest of Adam's semester break in true island fashion - we did whatever we wanted, went wherever we wanted, whenever we wanted, and stayed for however long we wanted! :) We got to do a lot of things that we hadn't done yet since we've lived here.

Some highlights of our fun included:

* a visit to the Alexander Hamilton museum. His original house was destroyed in a hurricane a few years back, but they've built a replica on the site that is actually right in town.

* dinner date to "all you can eat fish and chips night" with our friends, CJ and Jamie

* hitting golf balls at the Four Seasons Resort driving range

* snorkeling and dedicated beach time to work on Adam's med school tan :)

* driving down random roads around the island, just to see where they led
* touring the old sugar plantations around the island that have been restored and turned in to hotels
* lunch dates at a few yummy restaurants we hadn't tried yet. Our favorite was The Golden Rock Inn... the views and the gardens are beautiful!

I loved that for two whole weeks, I got to have Adam home all day! And on the days I did have to go to work, I always came home to the house cleaned, the laundry done, and lunch waiting for me! I know, I got a good one! :)

Like breaks of any kind always do, this one went by too fast! School started again this week, so it's back to the grind stone. We had a great time, and we're glad that we know our little island a little better now. Here's hoping we don't have to wait until the next break for the fun to continue!

  1. Be sure and tell Adam that you have a better golf swing than he does!
