Valu Mart

This post is for all my faithful blog followers who are dying to hear the report on our brand new grocery store here on Nevis! In my last post I was still counting down to it's opening day. It opened last Thursday, and I went to check it out for the first time on Friday. And, I think I can say that my experience was close to what some people might describe as a spiritual experience!

You know the feeling of walking in to the family room on Christmas morning and seeing all the presents that Santa left? Or the feeling of walking through the gates at Disneyland? The feeling of being so excited and overwhelmed all at the same time and you don't know what to look at or where to run first?? Well, that's pretty much how I felt when I walked through the doors at the new IGA ValuMart!! For 40 straight minutes I just walked up and down the isles looking at everything, and smiling! It's beautiful, and big, and clean, and full of so much great stuff! :)

This was my favorite find of the day. I may or may not have teared up when I saw it sitting on the shelf. And we were so excited that we ate half the jar before I took it's picture.

And I found these for Adam and surprised him with them when he got home from school that day. I wish I had a picture of his face when he found them in the cupboard, it was great! He's been dying for these since we left America! Studying just got so much more bearable, and just in time for finals! :)
