When we got back to Arizona I felt like we had so much to get done to get ready for this baby, and so little time left to do it! I was sure he was going to decide to be born early, and we would be totally unprepared.
My mom and sisters threw a baby shower for me on Memorial Day weekend. Adam's family had a camping trip scheduled that weekend that he'd been looking forward to for months. I had a doctor's appointment that morning, and found out I was dilated to 2cm. While it made me super excited to know something was starting to happen, it also made me super nervous to send my husband off to the mountains for the weekend! But, we decided it was probably safe for him to go ahead and go and I would just hold very still all weekend until he got back, and then the baby could come! :)
We got so many nice gifts at the shower, and Ashlyn helped me get everything washed and put away and organized and set up over the weekend. Adam enjoyed every second of his well deserved break, got home Sunday night, and we were ready to have a kid! All we had left to do was sit back and wait for him to come.
And here we are... almost three weeks later...40 weeks and 3 days pregnant, and still waiting! I really can't complain too much, regular pedicures and nightly foot rubs from Ashlyn are just part of all the spoiling I'm getting around here, and the baby isn't even here yet!
For Family Home Evening this week we had a family poll to guess how big the baby will be. I'm personally hoping Ashley wins! :)
And, for documentation purposes (and because my mother insisted very strongly), here we are at 40 weeks, and hoping this kiddo decides to join our party... soon!
